CALIFORNIA BOROUGH (KDKA) — Police are investigating an armed robbery in Washington County.

It happened Thursday in the 4000-block of Wood Street in California Borough, near the Cal U campus.

The university issued an alert to students telling them use caution when traveling outdoors and to keep their windows and doors locked.

According to the alert, police are looking for three men in the case and at least one had a gun.

One is described as an African American male, 6-foot-5-inches tall and more than 250 pounds. He was wearing glasses and a black and red hoodie.

The second suspect was also an African American male with a medium build and was wearing a navy blue hoodie.

And the third suspect is described as a tall African American male with a goatee and was wearing a blue hoodie.

If you saw anything, you are asked to call California Borough Police or California University Police.
