BEAVER COUNTY (KDKA) — Partial human remains were found today by a student going to school in Economy Borough, Beaver County.

The remains were found in a wooded area off Ridge Road Extension.

Beaver County Coroner Teri Tatalavich-Rossi said tonight it appeared the remains had been embalmed.

And, she’s “perplexed” on how they may have gotten there.

Tatalovich-Rossi says they will use dental records and forensic artistry in an effort to come up with the person’s identity.

She said her office is working closely with Beaver County detectives and Economy Borough Police.

She did not want to immediately identify the person’s gender or ethnicity.
