Police: Man Steals Razors Valued At $3,500 From Walmart, Trips Fire Alarm To Escape

WHITE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Police are asking for the public's help to identify a man accused of stealing thousands of dollars of razors in Indiana County.

According to police, the incident happened at the Walmart in White Township around 6:22 p.m. Sunday.

Surveillance video captured the man placing disposable razors valued at about $3,500 into a shopping cart.

"What possibly could these people be thinking?" asked State Police Tpr. Steve Limani.

Once loaded, the man created a diversion by fleeing through a fire exit, which tripped the fire alarm and doorway alert systems.

The white male suspect was described as being about 6-feet tall and weighing 180 pounds with brown or black hair and a mustache.

He was last seen wearing a red, hooded-sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black Pittsburgh Pirates hat.

Not long before this theft, $1,600 worth of teeth whiteners were taken from a Greensburg Target.

"It is something that we've seen grow, we don't know all the reports that have possibly happened," said Limani.

Limani says these items are things that can easily be resold.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police in Indiana County at (724)-357-1960.
