Man's Death Under Investigation In Neshannock Twp.

NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- State Police in New Castle are investigating a man's death in Lawrence County.

Neighbors say Joseph Pagley III, 25, had been renting a house on Kenneth Avenue in Neshannock Township for just a few months.

They didn't want to go on camera, but say he was a quiet guy, lived alone with his dog and had a girlfriend that was there often.

State police say some of Pagley's friends found him dead in his house around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

"Some of his friends, I guess, tried to call, got concerned he didn't answer, so they came over and found him deceased and then called Neshannock Township Police," said Lt. Tom Dubovi, with the Pennsylvania State Police.

State police are handling the investigation. It doesn't look like anyone broke into the home, and police believe the shooting was targeted.

A car was towed away at the scene; however, investigators won't say whose car it is.

"We have some people we are currently interviewing at the station and keep following up with forensics and wait for autopsy results to go from there," Dubovi said.

Police say an autopsy is scheduled for later in the day Monday.

No suspects are in custody at this time; however, police were questioning and interviewing several people.
