PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – One person is dead and another has been hospitalized following a crash in New Sewickley Township.

It happened around 6 a.m. on Freedom Crider Road.

Police say a female was driving east on the road, when a male driving west crossed the center median and hit her head on.

The female driver died at the scene.

The male was taken to UPMC Presby in unknown condition.

Freedom Crider Road had to be closed between Lovi Road and Route 989 after the crash.
