KKK Flyers Found On North Side During MLK Day

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – People in Pittsburgh's Manchester section were shocked to find Ku Klux Klan flyers in their neighborhood Monday morning.

The flyers were found along Pennsylvania Avenue, and said they were from the Loyal White Knights.

Residents think the flyers were put out intentionally to cause a stir because Monday marked Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Some say the flyers are racist.

"Cause it's racist, it's just racist sick behavior, it's really pathetic behavior," African American Chamber of Commerce's Doris Carson Williams said. "Some sick soul didn't have anything else to do but to put some propaganda out on Martin Luther King's birthday against a unification."

By late afternoon most of the flyers were taken down.

"What can you do about it, just keep moving forward, that's all," one neighbor said.

Police are looking into the flyers, and say the person who put them up could face criminal mischief or ethnic intimidation.
