Pat Narduzzi Completes Staff With Appointment Of Wide Receivers Coach

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - About a month after he was named the new football head coach at Pitt, Pat Narduzzi has announced the final hiring that completes his staff.

Completing the staff at Pitt is new wide receivers coach Kevin Sherman who was previously the wide receivers coach at Purdue where he spent the past two seasons.

Sherman is familiar with the ACC conference having coached the receivers at Virginia Tech from 2006-2012 and Wake Forest from 2001-2005.

Sherman has spent 24 years in the college ranks and has a stint in the NFL with a coaching internship with the Denver Broncos.

Narduzzi released a statement through the university about the hiring.

"Kevin Sherman is a veteran teacher of wide receiver play," Narduzzi said. "He is very familiar with the Atlantic Coast Conference and its various recruiting areas. I'm thrilled to bring a great person and an experienced professional like Kevin to Pittsburgh."

The rest of Narduzzi's coaching staff is as follows:

  • Offensive Coordinator/QB's Coach: Jim Chaney
  • Defensive Coordinator: Josh Conklin
  • ST's Coordinator / RB's Coach: Andre Powell
  • Linebackers Coach: Rob Harley
  • Cornerbacks Coach: Renaldo Hill
  • Offensive Line Coach: John Peterson
  • Tight Ends Coach: Tim Salen
  • Wide Receivers Coach: Kevin Sherman
  • Defensive Line Coach: Tom Sims
  • Head Strength and Conditioning Coach: Dave Andrews
