WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — One woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Westmoreland County.

The accident happened just before 5:30 p.m. along Route 66 in Washington Township.

The Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office pronounced the victim, 57-year-old Jeannie Heltion, dead at the scene just before 6:30 p.m.

She died of blunt force injuries to the head, chest and abdomen, the coroner’s office reports.

Officials say Heltion was headed south on Route 66 when her car crossed over the center line and into the opposite lane of traffic. Her car was hit by another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

Washington Township Police are investigating the crash.
