Chicora Man Accused Of Child Molestation To Take Lie Detector Test

CHICORA (KDKA) -- The preliminary hearing of a man accused of molesting children at a Butler County daycare was postponed Tuesday afternoon.

Roger Young is accused in several incidents that reportedly happened at the Patticake Day Care Center, which Young's wife ran out of the couple's home on Chicora Road in Chicora.

The criminal complaint states that the first alleged incident happened in December 2011, when a child claimed that Young touched her inappropriately.

The same child also said she watched Young feed another girl goldfish-shaped crackers by holding them near his crotch.

State police say there is surveillance video that shows Young inappropriately touching at least two girls.

In court Tuesday, Young reached an unusual deal with the court.

Young must take a lie detector test within 60 days.

If he passes, the charges against him will be dropped. If he fails the test, he will go to trial on the molestation charges.

In the meantime, Young is free on bond.

The court previously ordered him to have no contact with children, other than his grandchildren.
