Police Looking For Suspect In Reported Child Abduction In Wilkinsburg

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Authorities are searching for a suspect wanted in a reported child abduction in Wilkinsburg Tuesday night.

Wilkinsburg Police say the suspect allegedly grabbed the 13-year-old girl, who had been out walking her dog on Wood Street, and pulled her into his car. She was able to get away.

According to police, one of the victim's teachers spotted the girl in North Braddock and stopped to help her. The teacher called police and the girl's mother.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned African-American male, middle-aged with a medium build and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black hat.

He may be in the Braddock or North Braddock area.

Emergency officials say police are also looking for an orange, or peach-colored vehicle that may be a Chevy.

Officials in Allegheny County and Wilkinsburg are investigating.
