WVU Head Coach Dana Holgorsen On Recruiting Class: 'I Think We Landed Several' Star Players

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Coming off the announcement of his incoming 2015 recruiting class, WVU Head Coach Dana Holgorsen joined the Starkey and Mueller show to talk about the impact they'll have on his program.

Many recruiting analysts say this is Holgorsen's best recruiting class since getting to WVU in 2011 and he told us what excites him the most about it.

"You got to get excited about what you got," Holgorsen said.  "I think we shot for the stars on some of the guys, I think we landed several of them.  When you do it that way, you're not going to get a couple of them."

Holgorsen also talked about one guy already on his roster in Rushel Shell and what the expectations will be for him next season and if he'll go into camp as the starter.

"He was well on his way towards it last year I think and he just wore down, got a few injuries.  His deal is, he needs to have a great offseason.  He's a physical, powerful guy.  Needs to continue just to get as big and fast and strong as he can.  He's going to have the upper hand going into spring...It's time for Rushel to be a dominant force.  He's been a good player, he needs to stay healthy and be dominant.  I think great things are ahead of him.
