As John Breech of CBSSports.com writes, “Right now, we know two things about the opener: It will be played on Sept. 10 and it will be played in New England.”

Breech points out that the Steelers are one of the teams in the running, because both franchises share a similar Super Bowl history, comparing Chuck Noll and Terry Bradshaw to Bill Belichick and Tom Brady.

Because both the Steelers and Patriots won their divisions next year, they will at some point be on each others schedule.
