PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Ever text someone using emojis and feel like something’s missing?

So does Taco Bell.

The Mexican food giant has started a petition on Change.org, according to Food Network, to make sure the next batch of emojis to hit the market will include a cute little text taco.

At the time of this writing, the petition has more than 28,000 signatures.

Taco Bell says on its petition page that Unicode Consortium – which regulates the release of emojis – has included the taco as a candidate for the next batch of emojis scheduled to be released this year.

But the company wants to make sure it’s for sure on that list, saying “Taco Bell fans everywhere have been asking for a taco emoji for years and now we finally have the chance to help get the people what they want.”

Do you agree? What new emoji would you like to see in the future?
