Wilkinsburg Man Now Facing Homicide Charges Infant's Death

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Wilkinsburg man arrested last October and charged with aggravated assault in the death of his 5-week-old infant daughter is now facing new charges.

Lincoln Levys, 28, on Wednesday was charged with criminal homicide by Allegheny County Police.

Now, KDKA is learning disturbing new details on the baby's death.

Court documents say that the child's mother, 28-year-old Sheena Alston, told investigators a week before the infant died that Levys said to her: "He couldn't handle me, and those damned kids."

The couple had three children.

The criminal complaint says the little girl was "the victim of violence on more than one occasion, and likely repeatedly."

Investigators said Alston told them that Levys would place a pacifier in the baby's mouth, and then bounce her "face down on his arm."

Alston, facing charges of child endangerment, said she heard their baby make noises, indicating she was in pain.

The couple's daughter was found unresponsive in their McNary Boulevard home, and later died at Children's Hospital.
