Ringgold H.S. Employee Investigated For Inappropriate Contact With Student

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - An employee at Ringgold High School is being investigated for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a student.

The school district sent a letter to parents telling the community about the investigation.

The letter was also posted on the school's website.

District officials said the employee will not have any contact with students while the investigation continues.

"The school district is cooperating with authorities, and it has taken action to remove the employee in question from School District property," the statement said.

The letter was sent home Wednesday after the district learned an employee had been accused of having inappropriate contact with a high school student.

No one has said what job the worker held or if the student is a boy or a girl.

State Police told KDKA that the investigation is being handled by Rostraver Township Police.

The Rostraver Township Police Chief was unavailable for comment.
