Interstate 70 Crash Leaves 1 Woman Dead

SOMERSET TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – One woman was killed in an accident along Interstate 70 in Washington County Wednesday night.

According to police, the accident happened on the eastbound side of the road at mile marker 32.5 in Somerset Township around 11:23 p.m.

Police believe the vehicle went off the road and rolled multiple times, which ejected the female driver.

The driver has been identified as Vanessa Mutschler, 27, of Washington.

Mutscher was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both eastbound lanes were closed while police investigated the accident, but they have since reopened.
