Attack At Aliquippa HS Caught On Camera

ALIQUIPPA (KDKA) – The parents of an Aliquippa High School student are mad after they say their daughter was attacked by another student.

The attack in question was caught on video. In the video, one girl goes after another, beating her until she's pulled away by a teacher.

RAW VIDEO: Fight caught on camera:

The victim, 17-year-old Janisia Tigner, says she doesn't know why the other girl went after her. Her parents say she had to go to the hospital after suffering a broken nose and other injuries.

Tigner transferred to the school last fall and joined the basketball team. She says she's been bullied by the girl on camera since then.

"I was in the doorway, facing the classroom and the next thing I know, I was on the ground being punched," she said.

So far, school officials say they're aware of the incident but would not comment further.

"I just feel like something should have been done and this could have been avoided," said father James Dean.

KDKA's Lynne Hayes-Freeland Reports:

Tigner's parents say they plan to press criminal charges.

"That wasn't a normal fight," said mother Dwayna Dean. "This was an assault."

Tigner says she just doesn't want to be picked on anymore.

"I don't want to go back there," she said. "It's going to be even worse."
