PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh has been topping lists for years for its affordability and general livability, but now downtown is specifically getting a shout out.
The website Livability.com ranked the Steel City as the 2015 Best Downtown.
The site lists walkability, Market Square, the Cultural District and its proximity to the North Shore stadiums as some of the reasons why Pittsburgh’s downtown is so great.
Additionally, it points out that the 8,000 downtown residents have easy access to many amenities.
“Not only do residents have easy access to restaurants and retail centers, but they are within proximity to trails and parks,” writes Livability.com.
Other downtowns mentioned on the list are Minneapolis, Minn; Fargo, N.D.; and Greenville, S.C.
