Report: Steelers Cut Lance Moore, Allow Jason Worilds To Test Free Agency

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Steelers wide receiver Lance Moore asked the team for his release, and today they granted him that wish.

In his only season with the Steelers, Moore caught just 14 passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns in a disappointing season that saw the veteran wide receiver sitting on the sidelines at times despite not being injured.

Prior to coming to the Steelers, Moore had a modest amount of success with the New Orleans Saints where he caught 346 passes for 4,281 yards and 38 touchdowns in eight seasons.

According to Steelers insider Ed Bouchette, the Steelers made another roster decision today.

Despite using the transition tag on Worilds in 2014, the Steelers are set to allow their outside linebacker to test the free agent market this year after recording 59 total tackles, 7.5 sacks and one interception this past season.
