Home Invasion In Forest Hills Under Investigation

FOREST HILLS (KDKA) – Police are investigating a violent Tuesday night home invasion in Forest Hills.

According to police, the incident happened at a home in the 300-block of Avenue F around 8:30 p.m.

A mother, father and their daughter were home at the time.

A white male came to the door pretending to have a fruit delivery. When the door opened, the other two actors barged inside.

The suspects had the daughter take them to a safe where $20,000 was taken.

They allegedly threatened to harm the family if they didn't comply, but the victims did not see any guns.

Police would not speculate about how the suspects knew money was in the house.

During the incident, the mother and daughter's hands were duct taped. Meanwhile, the father's hands and mouth were duct taped.

The only description police have is that the suspects are two white males and one African-American male, who was about 6-feet-3-inches tall with a hood pulled over his face.

The two white males were of average build.

Anyone with information is asked to call Allegheny County Police.
