52-Year-Old Charged With Giving Teen Girls Guns To Pose With On Facebook
GREENSBURG (KDKA) – A Westmoreland County man charged with robbing a convenience store with a teen girl is now also accused of giving other teens girls guns to pose with on Facebook and taking one to get a tattoo.
Raymond Montesa was already in jail for an alleged robbery at a Murrysville CoGo's. These latest charges deal with him allegedly giving teenage girls guns to pose with.
It was Feb. 23 when Murrysville Police say a suspect came into the Mellon Road CoGo's and robbed the store of roughly $400 and lottery tickets. A few days later, 52-year-old Raymond Montesa and 19-year-old Lindsay Marine Ellenberger were arrested and charged with the crime.
Now Montesa faces new charges and a teen girl is once again involved.
"He apparently befriended a few teenage girls and provided them with hand guns to take Facebook pictures and things of that nature," said State Police Tpr. Stephen Limani. "Now we're trying to track those handguns down."
Montesa's alleged involvement with the one 16-year-old girl involves a tattoo gun as well.
Investigators say Montesa showed up at Patriotic Pain Tattoos in Monroeville with the teen so she could get a tattoo.
"He had taken the girl for a tattoo and he vouched for the person being over 18," said Limani.
The tattoo artist told investigators he knew Montesa and trusted him.
Montesa is charged with providing fire arms to minors as well as corrupting the morals of minors.
Montesa, meanwhile, has told police he and the teens were just friends.
"The nature of the relationship is supposed to be platonic," said Limani.
With the new charges, Montesa is being held on $134,000 straight cash bond.
