Report: Free Agent Running Back DeAngelo Williams Hopes To Sign New Deal Soon
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - It was reported that free agent running back DeAngelo Williams would be visiting with the Steelers Friday about possibly signing a deal, and now Williams has tweeted that he hopes to have a new home when that happens.
The 31-year-old Williams is coming off foot and ankle injuries in 2014 that limited him to just six games for the Carolina Panthers in which he carried the ball 62 times for 219-yards.
Other than Williams, there are no other free agents currently rumored to be visiting with the Steelers.
CBS NFL writer Jason la Canfora did report though that the Steelers are looking for help in their return game.
