Police: Man Threatened Teen With Pickax, Sexually Assaulted Her
WASHINGTON COUNTY (KDKA) – A North Charleroi man is charged with threatening a girl with a pickax if she didn't perform sex acts on him.
23-year-old Michael Gessel has been arrested in connection with the case according to a criminal complaint.
Charleroi police say Gessel allegedly threatened the 13-year-old girl, and forced her to perform oral sex on him behind a locked door several times over the past three-months.
Officers say Gessel also threatened the girl's mother if they reported the allegations.
Authorities say the assaults happened between December and March, and claim Gessel also provided the teen with alcohol and marijuana.
Washington County authorities have charged Gessel with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, furnishing a minor with liquor and marijuana, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, intimidation of a victim and sexual assault.
Gessel is booked into the Washington County Jail at $500,000 bond.
