Police: Missing Man Hasn't Taken His Medication In Over 24 Hours

CLAIRTON (KDKA) -- Authorities are looking for a man who disappeared from a personal care home and suffers from a number of health problems.

Police say 73-year-old Leonard Jones went missing from the United Hands Personal Care Home on Mitchell Avenue in Clairton Wednesday evening.

But police did not learn about his disappearance until Thursday morning.

The 5-foot-7, 112 pound Jones has a history of dementia and suffers from Parkinson's disease. He hasn't taken his medicine for more than 24 hours.

This marks the second time Jones has disappeared in recent months.

In December, he was at the Forbes Center for Rehabilitation and Health Care on Frankstown Avenue in Pittsburgh when he walked away.

He was found the next day, unharmed, visiting the home of a relative.

Officials say he may be visiting friends and relatives in McKees Rocks and Stowe Township area.
