Man in Custody After Overnight Chase in Crafton Heights

CRAFTON HEIGHTS (KDKA)- A man is in custody after leading police on a chase in the Crafton Heights neighborhood.

Police say the chase started near the Zone 6 police station in the West End around 2:15 a.m. on Friday when they tried to stop a driver with both tail lights out.

Officers lost track of the silver Cadillac shortly after the driver threw something out of the window, and headed towards his girlfriend's house.

Another squad car found the Cadillac a short time later on Crucible Street.

A man was taken into custody. No word on what charges he faces.

A tow truck was called to the scene to haul away the suspect's car.

The man's identity hasn't been released but police say he is facing at least 8-10 charges.
