West Mifflin Fatal Home Invasion Investigation Continues

WEST MIFFLIN (KDKA) - Police say a home invasion that left one man dead over the weekend in West Mifflin was not random.

According to police, Isaac Cameron, 23, was shot multiple times in the 600-block of Maple Street around 4:15 a.m. Saturday.

A bouquet of flowers lay across the front porch of Cameron's home just two days after he lost his life.

A notice posted by the medical examiner still hangs on his front door.

A neighbor woke up to knocking on the door.

"I opened the door and the lady across the street came over and was screaming and hollering yelling for help. 'My boyfriend's been shot, my boyfriend's been shot,'" neighbor David Hines said.

Police said more than one person invaded the home but it's still unclear why.

"There's a lot of traffic over there. What kind of traffic, I don't know. It was always on the front porch and there's always a car waiting in the driveway or something along those lines," Hines said.

Hines said he called 911 and went over to the house to check things out, but the suspects were gone.

"She was hysterical. She was yelling down the street and I went into the house. I was trying to keep an eye on her. I didn't know what she was involved with," Hines said.

When police arrived, they took her to a local hospital to be treated for minor wounds. She was released the same day.

If you have any information about this incident, you're being asked to call the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit or West Mifflin Police.
