Scout Profile Of Steelers' Potential Second-Round Draft Pick

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – Many mock drafts have the Steelers selecting a cornerback with their first pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, but Kirk Larrabee of 247Sports.com has a scouting profile of a cornerback the team could be looking at in the second round as well.

According to Larrabee, the Steelers could be interested in Stanford cornerback Alex Carter.

The 6'0, 196-pound Carter recorded 41 tackles and one interception while being a three-time Honorable Mention All-Pac-12.

Carter is leaving Stanford after his junior season and declaring for the draft early.

With the team lacking talent and depth at cornerback, it makes sense that they'd be looking at a number of players to possibly select at that position in the first and second rounds as Carter is rated a second-round talent.

Carter was in Pittsburgh meeting with Steelers officials on Thursday.
