Furry Tails: Magnus & Phoebe Are Searching For Good Homes

Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Magnus

Animal Rescue League
Magnus is a fun-loving pup in need of a forever family! He's playful, a lover of the great outdoors and is always ready for a tasty treat!

Animal Rescue League says:
This handsome face belongs to Magnus, a very friendly, playful young guy! Magnus is listed as a Pit mix, but he could also have some Lab or American Bulldog based on his size, (68 lbs.). He's definitely a treat-motivated dog, which always helps with training. In fact, he's attended Obedience Classes at the shelter and has done very well! He makes great eye contact and really focuses on his handler, especially if there's a dog biscuit involved! He knows "sit" and "down" and we're also working with him on walking with a loose leash.

Magnus aced his temperament tests and appears to be house-trained; although, it's always wise to reinforce this training after a dog has spent time in a shelter environment. He is a strong dog so we've been walking him with a harness, but he will definitely need continued help in this area. He definitely enjoys going on walks and playing outdoors. If you have room in your heart for this big, friendly guy, please stop in to meet him soon!

To find out more about Magnus, please contact his volunteer friend Barb at barbcolker@verizon.net.

Animal Friends says:
Phoebe is a dog's dog. What we mean by that is that she is the perfect example of what you think a great dog should be. Want to go for a walk in the park? Phoebe's got that covered.

Want to spend some time playing with toys and squeaky stuffed animals? Phoebe's got that down too.

Just want to cuddle on the couch after a long day of playing? No problem - Phoebe is there.

Phoebe would make a wonderful canine companion for an active family with older kids who can keep up with her energetic play-style. Phoebe does get along with other dogs but isn't a huge fan of cats. As always, a meet-and-greet is suggested if you already own a dog.

Phoebe has waited too long for her forever home. Come meet her today!
