Standoff Sends Police To City's Larimer Neighborhood

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police were called to Pittsburgh's Larimer neighborhood late Thursday night for a standoff.

According to emergency dispatchers, it was happening at the intersection of Mayflower and Ashley Streets.

A heavy police presence was being reported at the scene.

There's no word yet on what prompted the standoff.

But late Thursday night police blocked off Larimer Avenue, Paulson Avenue and Broad Street.
