CHIPPEWA (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a vehicle crashed into a Beaver County house Friday morning.

According to emergency dispatchers, the accident happened around 7 a.m. in the 100-block of Oakville Road in Chippewa.

The driver lost control and went through two yards before crashing into the home.

A 14-year-old girl was in the house at the time of the crash. Fortunately, she was in the back of the home and called 911 when she realized what had happened.

A dog in a crate against the wall the car crashed into also escaped injury.

The driver has only been identified as a man in his 50’s. He was taken to Heritage Valley Hospital for evaluation.

The owners of the home said they have had cars in their yard before. Years ago, another vehicle struck their home as well.

Neighbors said speeding is a problem in the area.

It is unknown if charges will be filed against the driver and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
