Suspected Bethel Park Bank Robber Turns Self In

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The man accused of robbing a Bethel Park bank last Friday has turned himself in.

Charles Wright, of South Park, turned himself in to police station with his attorney Blaine Jones.

Wright is accused of robbing the Northwest Savings Bank on Library Road on Friday.

"Mr. Wright was contacted by law enforcement about an alleged bank robbery that occurred in Bethel Park. He is supported by his family. He is not running from this. It happened on Friday afternoon and here it is Monday. He is confronting this head on," said Jones.

It's unclear how much he got away with.

According to the criminal complaint, police used a combination of clues to lead to Wright.

His face wasn't covered, so they had surveillance photos and they used a K-9 to follow the scent from the bank to the South Park area.

There was also at least one print, inside the bank. Police say Wright had one hand that was not covered by a glove.

Tonight Wright is in the Allegheny County Jail.
