PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Flames raced through a home in Ellwood City overnight.

The fire broke out around 11:30 p.m. Friday.

The fire chief says the one-and-a-half story wood frame house was gutted.

He says he believes the fire started in the rear master bedroom.

People who had been renting the house moved out just the day before.

The fire marshal is expected to go to the scene today to investigate the cause.
