Flames Take Over Abandoned House In McKeesport
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Flames damaged an abandoned house in McKeesport Sunday and threatened to spread to the house next door.
Firefighters were called out to Evans Avenue around 1 p.m.
A neighbor says the house has been vacant for a while and he put a padlock on it to keep people out.
But Sunday that lock was busted off.
"The screen door was open and my padlock was ripped off and the cellar door was ripped up, so I called the cops this morning, they come and looked inside and they said there ain't nothing in there," said neighbor Daniel Demer.
Firefighters kept the flames from spreading to the neighboring house.
