Shots Fired In Polish Hill, Shot Up Car Found In Strip District

PITTSBURGH (KDKA)- Zone 2 police are investigating shots fired and a car shot up early Monday morning.

Officers were initially dispatched for a shots fired call around 1:40 a.m. and found the scene near the intersection of Dobson and Downing Streets in Polish Hill.

A few minutes later, the 19-year-old victim called 911 to report his Nissan Altima had been shot up at that location.

Due to a flat tire, the victim was forced to stop at a McDonald's in the Strip District.

The car's driver's side window was shattered and there were several other bullet holes in the car.

Two people who were riding in the car were interviewed by police. It doesn't appear anyone was hit by the gunfire.

According to the victim, the suspect was described as a light-skinned African American man, who was driving a large, white SUV.

So far, no arrests have been made.
