Shooting In Beaver Falls Sends Woman To The Hospital

BEAVER FALLS (KDKA)- Police are looking into a shooting that sent a woman to the hospital in Beaver Falls late Tuesday night.

According to police, the shooting happened just after 11 p.m. in the 1500-block of Fifth Avenue.

Beaver Falls Police said the shooting stemmed from a domestic situation.

Alonzo Waters said he was sitting outside when a car with three men pulled up and started to shoot.

A 30-year-old woman, who was sitting on the front porch, appeared to be the intended target. Witnesses believe the gunman was her boyfriend.

Waters said,

"She had got shot right here, bullets flew, here, here. I was sitting here. I almost got hit, pulled my firearm back on them. I'm licensed to carry so as they shot at us I shoot back at them," Waters said.

The woman was shot in her calf, she's in stable condition at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Police are looking to charge at least three people in the case. So far, no arrests have been made.
