SWAT Called To House In Oakland

OAKLAND (KDKA)- The SWAT team was called to a home in Oakland early Thursday morning.

Police were responding to an original report that a man had taken a family hostage.

Just before 2 a.m., officers requested the SWAT team in the 300-block of North Craig Street. A short time later, police told SWAT to stand down and canceled them from the scene.

When KDKA-TV arrived, there was a woman on the front porch with an ice-pack on her face. She was treated by medics at the scene.

Several kids and the woman were interviewed by police.

There is no word if anyone was taken into custody.
