Community Constructs Makeshift Memorial, Takes To Social Media To Mourn Toddler

SWISSVALE (KDKA) -- News of the death of 2-year-old Adrionna Williams has spread on social media.

On what appears to be the Facebook page of her mother, there's a short video of the toddler singing a popular best friend song.

Adrionna would have turned 3 in less than a month. Instead, her body was found Sunday evening, in Swissvale.

On Tuesday, there are balloons, flowers, heartfelt messages and teddy bears at a makeshift memorial for Adrionna.

Allegheny County Police believe someone placed the child's body near the ravine off Chalmers Street in Swissvale. They say it was too far for her to walk from her Wilkinsburg home.

Adrionna's body was discovered by someone walking their dog, less than an hour after her family reported her missing on Sunday evening.

With the heavy rain and storms in the area Sunday, Swissvale Police put up a tent to preserve any evidence at the scene.

Investigators are asking anyone with any information about Adrionna's death to contact them.

"The medical examiner's office still does not have the autopsy results for Adrionna. They say there are a number of tests that still need to be completed.
