Family, Friends Organizing Memorial For Little Girl Found Dead In Ravine

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- As the investigation into the death of Adrionna Williams continues, her mother is turning to social media to express her grief.

She's posted lots of cell phone pictures of the two and a video of little Adrionna dancing.

Adrionna would have celebrated her fourth birthday next month.

In one post, her mom wrote, "I always did it big on birthdays, she couldn't wait until her birthday next month. She knew Mommy was gonna go all out for her, like always.

"They're devastated of course right now," says Angel Jackson, referring to the family's grief. "The mother is overwhelmed right now."

Jackson is a family friend. She's also one of the organizers of a tribute to honor Adrionna scheduled for what would have been her birthday, July 12.

Jackson says at this time, the family needs support, and not negative comments on social media.

"I just want people to stop so much of pointing the finger and no one really knows what happened. We need to let the police do their job and justice will be served," Jackson said.

Allegheny County police investigators say it could be weeks before anyone is charged in this case.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office is conducting tests as part of the autopsy. It could be as long as six months before they have all of the results.
