Neshannock HS Baseball Team Wins State Championship

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – There was celebrating in the streets last night in Neshannock Township.

There was a parade and rally to celebrate the township's high school baseball team, which won the AA State Championship.

"They don't get worried, they don't get nervous," said Neshannock High School Baseball Coach Michael Kirkwood. "They don't worry about anything. They come here happy-go-lucky, just go about and play the game hard. And they don't worry they're not nervous, they don't care who's pitching against them – how good the team is."

The Lancers finished with a 20and 5 record and won the WPIAL AA title on their way to the state championship.
