Former Kennywood Employee Arrested On Child Porn Charges

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office has busted a former Kennywood employee for allegedly having child pornography.

Authorities say 32-year-old Nicolas Lancos, who worked at the local amusement park, knowingly sold, distributed and displayed child pornography on the Internet.

Lancos was arrested after a two-month investigation in which authorities say agents downloaded pornography from his computer.

"This was an undercover investigation. This was a peer-to-peer file-sharing network where the agents saw child pornography being disseminated across that network," said Anthony Marmo, the deputy attorney general.

Agents working in the state Attorney General's Child Predator Unit linked up with Lancos' address through the computer and obtained a search warrant for his home in the city's Greenfield section.

They seized computer devices and an external hard drive.

"At which time we found him in possession of child pornography," said Marmo. "It was kids under the age of 18 engaged in graphic sexual acts."

Authorities say the content included alleged color videos of girls, from ages 3 to 12, in sexually compromising positions with adult males.

Lancos was not at home during the search. Agents found him working at Kennywood park.

During an interview, investigators say Lancos denied having any involvement with child pornography, but he was arrested and taken away from the park in handcuffs.

A spokesman for Kennywood released this statement:

"Kennywood's first priority is safety and security of our guests and team members. At this time, the park has no indication the team member in question is being investigated for actions or activities connected to his employment at Kennywood."
