Two-Alarm Fire Rips Through Lawrenceville Row House

LAWRENCEVILLE (KDKA)- Firefighters responded to a row house on fire early Tuesday morning in Lawrenceville.

It started around 1:30 a.m. at a house in the 200-block of 45th Street.

Fire crews say flames were shooting out of the front of the home when they arrived. They had to shut down part of Butler Street so people wouldn't run over the fire hoses.

Crews were able to knock the fire down quickly. The one unit where the fire started was vacant. The two apartments next door suffered serious smoke damage.

Several people may need to stay somewhere else for the night.

Officers were also checking with residents along the street to see if any of the parked cars were damaged by the fire.

There were no reports of injuries.
