Man In Custody After Mount Oliver Standoff Situation
MOUNT OLIVER (KDKA) –A man is in custody after a standoff in Mount Oliver Tuesday morning.
According to police, the situation began when a man barricaded himself in a home on Giffin Avenue around 5:45 a.m.
Officers blocked off streets near the 300-block of Giffin Avenue, near Hays Avenue during the standoff.
Officers and family members used a bullhorn to try and coax the man out of the home.
Eventually, the man surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody around 8:15 a.m.
No other details have been released at this time.
