Zeus is a 6-year-old Cane Corso, described as a gentle soul.

For nearly nine months, the dog has lived in a Baltimore Day Care called Pooches and Purrs.

The people there say former Pittsburgh Steeler Chris Kemoeatu abandoned the dog there and that he owes the business $9,000.

“I know that he’s had some medical issues,” said kennel owner Renee Mason. “I was trying to be understanding, but he’s just taking advantage.”

The medical issues she is referring to is Kemoeatu’s kidney failure.

Pooches and Purrs says the brothers opened a gym in Hawaii.

Baltimore TV reporters reached out to the brothers, but received no phone calls.

Now the owner is considering giving Zeus away.
