Steeler Nation Floods Canton To Support Bettis At HOF Induction

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Saturday night, Steelers legend Jerome Bettis will be inducted into the pro football Hall of Fame.

The bus stopped in Canton, Ohio Friday and it's already been an emotional couple of days for the running back.

It's no surprise, there are plenty of Steelers fans in Canton to celebrate.
In fact, one Hall of Fame official said it's the most Steeler fans they've ever seen there – and it's all for Bettis.

Everywhere you look you see "36" jerseys.

A father and son from Indian, Pa. went to Canton to see Bettis – and had all six Super Bowl rings with them.

"Being a big Steeler fan for many, many years, and also a Notre Dame fan, and with Jerome Bettis and Tim Brown getting in, grads of Notre Dame, we figure this may be the only time this ever happens," said Rick Radakovich. "So we want to see everybody and enjoy the moment."

"Steeler Nation definitely showed up here, for this weekend and everything in force," said another fan. "Tomorrow night is a game, it's going to feel like a home game. There's some Minnesota Vikings fans, but it's 10-1 Steelers fans."

Among the fans, there was also a Steelers storm trooper (from Star Wars) and black and gold everywhere you look.

Bettis is expected to talk around 10 p.m. at the ceremony.
