Police Looking For Missing 12-Year-Old Girl

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are asking for help finding a missing 12-year-old girl.

Jordyn Robinson is supposed to be going into the seventh grade this fall. She likes to spend time with friends and talk or text on her cell phone. But, Jordyn doesn't have her cell phone with her, and her mother is terrified, because she hasn't been seen or heard from since Friday night in Manchester.

"The last time I saw Jordyn was around 8 o'clock and then I went into the house. She must have gone out the back. That's the last time I saw her," her mother, Mahogni, said.

Mahogni says Jordyn doesn't have a history of running away. She did get upset once, and was late coming home from school. But, something about this time is different.

"I'm thinking this is not the Jordyn I raised. Like I said, I'm scared. I'm terrified, I just don't know. I've been out searching for her," Mahogni said.

Pittsburgh police released a photo of Jordyn as soon as the missing person report was completed. So far, there has been no sign of her.

Mahogni said even though she lives in Manchester, Jordyn knows other parts of town and has friends all over.

"I don't want to say I'm numb, but I'm scared to death. We live in a cruel world," Mahogni said. "She doesn't look 12, but she has the mind of a 12-year-old."

She was wearing a black tank top and black and yellow shorts with a Steelers emblem and white tennis shoes.

She is 5-feet-2-inches tall and wears her hair in two French braids.

If you see her, you're asked to call police.
