Hundreds Line Up For Cheap Circus Tickets At Consol Energy Center

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The Ringling Bros. & Barnum And Bailey Circus is returning town.

This morning, hundreds of people scored tickets for less than $ a piece.

From the exotic animals to the acrobats, Ringling Bros. & Barnum And Bailey Circus always draws a crowd in Pittsburgh.

The show is returning to town in November and people are already getting their tickets.

"Tickets are very cheap today and it cost us $8.64 for six tickets," Lyndsay Kahle said.

In celebration of the 144th edition of "The Greatest Show on Earth," the circus was offering 144 tickets for each of its eight shows for just $1.44 each.

"Great price, great deal and I'm going to take my 1-year-old granddaughter, can't wait," Gerri Edkins said.

"Love Ringling Brothers and every year, I come by myself. So, this year I thought $1.44, ok, I'll come with some family," Tonette Stewart said.

The box office opened at 7 a.m. and the tickets were available on a first come, first serve basis.

Some people said they weren't expecting to see such long lines.

"We got here at quarter after six, it's quarter to eight and people are very pleasant in line, so happy to be here," Edkins said.

According to Ticketmaster, circus tickets range from $15 to $95.

The circus rolls comes to Pittsburgh on Nov. 4.
