Steelers Activate Backup QB Bruce Gradkowski

LATROBE (93-7 The FAN) – Bruce Gradkowski was activated from the physically unable to perform list on Sunday after resting a sore right shoulder for most of training camp.

He said it feels good to be back.

"It's great to be back out there and get into a rhythm with the guys and just continue to get better each and every day," Gradkowski said.

As he enters his 10th season in the NFL, Gradkowski said his throwing shoulder is healed and he's just thankful to still be playing the game that he loves.

"I thank God for that and I'm just trying to enjoy it," Gradkowski said. "There's nothing like being out there with the guys practicing and continuing to get better and get ready for an exciting season."

Gradkowski has watched most of camp from the sidelines and he likes what he's seen from third-string quarterback Landry Jones.

"I think he's doing a great job thus far this camp and you can tell he's definitely getting better and growing," Gradkowski said.

Jones has seen most of the action in the two pre-season games, but there's a chance Gradkowski could get some playing time on Sunday at Heinz Field.
