Steelers Insider Ed Bouchette: 'Not Automatic' Bryant Returns First Game After Suspension

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - With Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant two games into his four game suspension, Steelers Insider Ed Bouchette told Starkey and Mueller that we may not see him back on the field once his full suspension is served.

When asked about the reports of Bryant being down in Houston, Texas working with someone who specializes in dealing with people who have addictions, Bouchette talked about the possibility of Bryant not being cleared to come back and play right away.

"I would think that's always possible," Bouchette said. "I don't think it's automatic that as soon as that suspension is lifted that he's going to return straight to the lineup. He could, he may very well, but I don't think it's automatic."

Bouchette also talked about the Steelers making a roster move to clear a spot for the recently activated Le'Veon Bell and it not being the player most people thought it would be.

"I did expect it would be Dri Archer, and I was wrong, [that] doesn't mean they were right, but it's not like they cut the next Antonio Brown either," Bouchette said about the team cutting wide receiver Tyler Murphy. "He was the only one would could play in the slot after Markus Wheaton, but I think Darrius Heyward-Bey has been doing a little more of that, so they must feel a little comfortable."
