PETA Offers $5,000 To Find Person Who Killed Bald Eagle

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA, is offering a reward to help find the person who shot a Bald Eagle that ultimately died as a result of its injuries.

PETA says the eagle was shot in Fulton County, near the Appalachians.

Although the eagle didn't die from the gunshot wound directly, the female eagle suffered from malnutrition and dehydration after being shot through the wing and one leg.

PETA is offering $5,000 for any information leading to the person who shot it.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
