Pirates Offering Rainchecks For Postponed Game

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The heavy rain postponed Tuesday's Pirates game. So there will be a double header against the Cardinals Wednesday, and there's a lot at stake.

After a 3-to-0 loss Monday night, the next two games could decide who wins the division.

Not to mention the double header means some traffic and parking issues you should know about.

Wednesday's first game will be at 1:35 p.m., which means Downtown workers won't be able to use the North Shore lots unless they have lease.

And just like a few weeks ago, people will leave the afternoon game and begin arriving for the evening one, pretty much when the evening rush is has happening. So traffic may be a little heavier than normal.

People who had tickets to tonight's game can come to Wednesday's afternoon game or try to exchange the tickets for one of the other remaining home games, according to a press release from the Pirates.

That, of course, may not work out for everyone's schedule.

Connor Dorsey, 9, from Wheeling, W. Va., will have to wait to next year for the experience he had hoped for Tuesday evening.

"I was supposed to meet the Pittsburgh Pirates and go out on the field and after that still get to the go the game. But it got cancelled, so I'm kind of bummed!" said Dorsey.

If you had a ticket to Tuesday's game, but can't make it Wednesday afternoon, you can exchange your ticket for a different home game. However, the Pirates say they can be exchanged on a limited basis.

But if you're fine waiting until next season, the Pirates also say that fans with tickets to Tuesday's game can trade them in for an April 2016 game during the offseason.
